What is NBHD?

We’re here for the young people—with the young people.

Neighbourhood is a not-for-profit based in Ipswich and Fernvale working to break cycles of trauma, disconnection and youth detention.

We believe in the power of community, strong mentors, and real opportunity.

Our model focuses on healing in the first space (home), building purpose in the second space (work), and finding belonging in the third space (community).

Neighbourhood is built on the belief that people thrive in strong, healthy community. Our model is shaped by the “Third Space” concept—places outside home and work where connection, healing, and belonging happen.
